committee and subcommittee assignments are shuffled, and contact information
is added or updated frequently. We know how important it is for you to have
reliable information readily available, so we track the changes taking place
in Congress on a daily basis so you don't have to. What it is: Over 500 fields of information on the individual Members of Congress that you download into your grassroots applications to keep them current - all at a fraction of the cost of doing it yourself. Congress Data Disk provides you with important information on each Member of Congress including biographical data such as family, education, career highlights and military service; congressional information including party, district, rank, and leadership positions; contact information for both Washington DC and district offices; key staff positions, direct dial telephone number, email address and legislative responsibilities; and committee and subcommittee assignments with leadership positions noted. You even get label-ready address fields for easy mail-merge options. How it works: You build a data import filter and download the Congress Data Disk right into your application. In no time, your in-house grassroots system contains the most recent KnowWho updates. Schedule quarterly, monthly, even weekly updates based on your organization's individual requirements. Data Description: Congress Data Disk is available in 3 levels designed to provide varying degrees of data depth and breadth. Level 1 is distributed in three primary datasets; MEMBERS has 90 fields of information about the Member (district, contact, biographical); OFFICES contains over 250 fields with information on the Members offices, both Capitol and district and the key staffers who man those offices; ASSIGNMENTS holds the committee and subcommittee assignments for the Members along with any leadership positions that they hold on those committees. Level 2 is distributed in eight primary datasets; MEMBERS contains contact, background and biographical data about the Member; MEMBERS OFFICES contains detailed information for every office for each Member including individual contact data; MEMBERS STAFFERS holds contact and responsibility data for every Member staffer, in every office; COMMITTEES contains detailed information about each and every committee and subcommittee including contact data, majority and minority offices, and more; COMMITTEES MEMBERS holds the membership and leadership position data for all committees, subcommittees and Members; COMMITTEES STAFFERS has detailed contact information for all majority, minority and other staffers; OFFICERS contains complete data on all Legislative Officers; OFFICERS STAFFERS holds information for all Legislative Officer staffers. Supporting Look Up Tables (LUT's) for Level 1 and Level 2 include: ComOfficerLUT, ComStaffFuncLUT, DistrictLUT, EthnicsLUT, LegTypeLUT, OccCodeLUT, PartyLUT, ReligionsLUT, SeatLUT and SeatStatusLUT. Level 3 is distributed as a replicated Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database containing 64 tables in a normalized data structure. Snapshot or transactional replication provides a robust environment in a standardized architecture.
